For deliveries within 100 miles of our warehouse in Fairfield, NJ; we deliver via our own trucks. Deliveries are curbside but we may place your order safely in your garage. We may also deliver to the first floor of your house for an extra $100. We do not deliver to 2nd floors & up.
We give you a 3 hour time frame for delivery; we spare no effort to avoid delays but please understand that sometimes they happen.
Should any of the boxes get damaged or open; please inform the driver and we will gladly replace them on the next business day.
For national deliveries; we acquire the services of freight carriers to deliver your order. National freight carriers use large trucks and their deliveries are usually curb side only. For an additional small fee; we may be able to set up inside delivery to the first floor of your home.
We inspect your order carefully for any visible damages to the boxes prior to delivery. Should any of the boxes get damaged or open; please not that on the bill of lading (your delivery receipt) and we will gladly replace them in timely fashion.
Hardwood floors are usually boxed (prefinished) or bundled (unfinished) and range in weight between 50 and 120 Lbs per box. We strongly suggest you have your contractor or installer present at the time of delivery to expedite receiving your order, inspect it and make sure everything runs smoothly.
For a limited time; get free delivery of your order when you purchase 1000 Square foot or more. Free shipping is curb-side only to residential or business addresses and includes free lift-gate service. This offer has no cash value and can not be redeemed for extra discounts on your order. INSPECTION OF YOUR ORDER
We fully inspect all orders before they leave our warehouse; please understand that damage is a common occurance and it could happen to any shipment. When you receive your order; please inspect the cartons carefully. Should there be any visible tear to the cartons; please inspect the flooring inside for any damage. If the flooring is damaged inside one or more cartons, please note that on the bill of lading or delivery receipt. We will replace any damaged flooring in a timely manner and at no cost to you. When you sign your receipt with no damage notes; you acknowledge that your shipment is received in good condition. Tauben Floors will NOT replace or issue credit for any damaged materials after the merchandise has been received and signed for.
You may cancel in-stock orders as long as they did not leave our warehouse. A 3% cancellation free applies in this case and that covers credit card fees incurred by your credit card issuer. This charge does not apply if you paid in cash, check or if you are replacing your order with something else.
You may not cancel your order if your floor has already been shipped to you. Cancellations are also not allowed on the following:
- Special order & custom-made flooring.
- Moldings, adhesives and accessories.
- Discontinued items; styles no longer offered by the manufacturers.
- Discounted items; products sold at a special price and noted as such on your invoice.
- Clearance items or products no longer in stock.
We accept returns on all in stock flooring within 30 days of receipt. All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. Returned flooring must be in its original packaging, unopened and in good condition. There’s absolutely no returns allowed on special orders, custom made orders, discontinued flooring and discounted orders.
STORE YOUR FLOOR PROGRAM
As a way to help you take advantage of our sales and promotional events; you may store your flooring order in our warehouse up to 90 days absolutely free. Floors stored more than 90 days are assessed a $25.00 storage fee per week. To take advantage of this program; the following rules apply:
- All orders must be paid in full.
- Orders can not be canceled or exchanged during or after the storage period.
- Returns in full or part of any extra flooring material in this program will not be accepted.
